We are the Solar Racing Team at the University of Texas at Dallas!

One of only two solar racing teams in Texas. Our passionate and innovative group of students is dedicated to designing, building, and racing cutting-edge solar-powered vehicles to advance renewable energy and sustainable transportation. With a vision to compete globally, we aim to participate in prestigious events such as the Formula Sun Grand Prix, the American Solar Challenge, and the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. As we grow, we strive to inspire the next generation of engineers and environmental stewards, turning sunlight into speed and dreams into reality.

Comet Solar Racing at the University of Texas at Dallas is a student-run, student-led competition team dedicated to equipping students with the knowledge and resources to excel in solar vehicle challenges worldwide. The team provides hands-on project experience to students from diverse engineering and business backgrounds, fostering skills that go beyond classroom learning. These include effective engineering practices, project management, leadership, delegation, financial planning, collaboration, and professionalism.
