Drivetrain
Electrical Engineer: focused on designing and selecting hardware to use in Drivetrain system design. This includes calculating and testing theoretical limits on power electronics, testing motors, and designing wiring harnesses.
Software/Computer Engineer: focused on designing and implementing ADAS logic between driver inputs and motors. These students will work with the Panels team to ensure that the motor and solar panels are working together at their best efficiency

Battery
Mechanical Engineer: focused on working the mechanical design and simulation work. This includes creating solidworks models of battery packs / modules, using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modeling of battery modules and packs, and 3D printing models of various materials.
Electrical Engineer: focused on the electrical harness/battery simulation and design. This includes creating wire harness/potential PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design, using BMS (Battery Management Systems) with the goal to create a custom BMS, and researching suitable conduction materials for optimum battery pack busbar design.
Relevant Experience: CFD modelling, SolidWorks, 3D printing
Dynamics
Suspension Engineer: focused on designing and optimizing the suspension system of the solar car to ensure stability, comfort, and performance under various road conditions.
Braking Engineer: specializes in designing and refining the braking system of the solar car to maximize efficiency, responsiveness, and safety.
Steering Engineer: works on designing and improving the steering system of the solar car to enhance maneuverability, responsiveness, and control.
Testing and Integration Engineer: conducts rigorous testing and validation procedures to assess the performance, durability, and safety of the dynamics systems. Focuses on integrating various dynamics systems with other subsystems of the solar car.

Structures
Mechanical Engineer: focused on 3D modeling and designing chassis and structural members, utilizing the Weldments design feature in SolidWorks. This role also includes conducting stress analysis, finite element analysis, and modal (vibrational) analysis on structural members, assemblies, and components using ANSYS. Proficient in creating detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing and developing bills of materials.

Composites
